Art is my life and my passion and I have been painting or drawing as long as I can remember.

It started when I saw a painting I liked and couldn't afford . . . so being an enthusiastic youth I went out and bought watercolours and started painting. After completing about 40 small paintings that were very much landscape based . . . I had a show and sold well. Fired up by this I started experimenting, trying different mediums and ended up painting with Oils, strongly in the Surrealist camp. I signed my work MORITZ.

I was living in Germany and loved the new creativity I was experiencing. Then I went travelling around Europe. and finally settled in a vibrant European City where I put down deep roots and focused on other artistic endeavors.

Missing those exciting, creativel days, the smell of linseed oil and turpentine, I have dusted off the brushes and have started painting again . . . some surreal, some still life and some figurative work . . . but basically I'm going to paint what the mood takes and what I have a passion for.
